QUESTIONS REGARDING AUDITIONS/PLACEMENTS?

Should you have any questions regarding auditions/placements feel free to contact our staff. Just click on ‘Contact’ and then select ‘tryout information’. Your email will be responded to shortly!

We will also have an informational parent/dancer meeting on Wednesday, March 15th at 6:30 in Seton’s Halo Café. We will discuss all aspects of Seton’s Dance Program and our staff will be available for questions at that time. We will have tentative budget numbers as well for the new season. This meeting is NOT mandatory for your daughter to audition or participate, dancers are however welcome to attend with their parents.

Open Dance & Master Class Schedule

OPEN DANCE CLASSES

There will be open dance classes offered for all girls auditioning for Varsity, JV or Junior High or participating in the placement process for our Youth and Youth Prep teams. These classes will be geared towards each age group and will work on dance technique, improving current skills and teaching new skills. Dance classes are mandatory (unless a school conflict exists – please notify coaches in advance) if you are planning to audition for the Varsity or JV teams. If you are interested in auditioning for either our Junior High team or participating on the Youth/Youth Prep teams, it is highly recommended that you attend the open dance classes for your age level.

We encourage any 6th grade dancer, with prior dance experience, to participate in the Junior High classes/auditions so that they are aware of how that process works for their 7th grade season when they must audition for Junior High. If they do not make the Junior High team as a 6th grader they are more than welcome to come back and participate in Youth/Youth Prep placement process. They are not required to audition for Junior High as a 6th grader. 2023 | 2024 Twinkle Registration

Registration for the Twinkle classes for the 2023/2024 season will open on Saturday, April 1st at 10:00 AM for all new dancers. We will have priority registration for our returning Twinkle dancers starting on Wednesday, March 29th at 10:00 AM and ending Friday, March 31st at 2:00 PM to give us time to figure out how many additional dancers we can take during the open registration period. Any returning dancer who would like to be guaranteed a spot for the new season must register during this priority registration period as space will be extremely limited once it is opened up to new dancers. Our classes fill very fast so please register ASAP once you are able to do so. Again this season there will be a non-refundable registration fee of $35 that will go directly to Seton Athletics. Your dancers’ registration will not be complete if this fee is not paid during the online registration process.

This season we will do our best to keep the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 5:00-6:00 classes at Seton consisting of 1st and 2ndgraders for the 2023/2024 school year and the Monday 6:15-7:45 class at St. Al’s Bridgetown for 3rd graders only. This 3rd grade class is extended so we can better prepare these dancers for our youth prep team should they choose to continue on in our program. We anticipate being back at St. Al’s Bridgetown again in the new season for our 3rd grade class but we have not confirmed that location for the 23/24 season as of yet. We will likely not know for sure if these general class plans will work or not until we know the grades of all the registered dancers on April 1st. We will communicate any changes in the class schedule and/or location of class with the parents of the registered dancers as soon as possible once registration is closed and everything is confirmed.

The cost for the season is $300 per dancer and may be paid all upfront or split into 2 payments of $150 each due in August & October. This cost includes instruction, facilities, competition registration fees, Twinkle dance t-shirt, costume & 1 pair of tights. Dancers will be required to have tan slip on jazz shoes for all practices, competitions & performances. We will be placing an order for jazz shoes for anyone who may be interested in July. Cost will be approx. $40 for the same shoe our Youth & Youth Prep dancers wear. You are free to purchase jazz shoes on your own as long as they meet the requirements above.

Classes will begin the week of August 14, 2023.

SHINE Class is held on Monday nights, 5:00-6:00 in the Studio at Seton HS (1st & 2nd graders)
GLIMMER Class is held on Monday nights, 6:15-7:45 at St. Al’s Bridgetown (3rd graders)
SPARKLE Class is held on Tuesday nights, 5:00-6:00 in the Studio at Seton HS (1st & 2nd graders)
GLITTER Class is held on Wednesday nights, 5:00-6:00 in the Studio at Seton HS (1st & 2nd graders)
