Varsity & JV Dance Teams (9^th thru 12^th grades 2022/2023 school year)

Monday, April 18^th, 6:00-8:00 in Seton’s MPR/Gym. Meet with coaches and learn 21/22 choreography/combo.
            * This night is for any dancer auditioning who was NOT on varsity in the 21/22 season.
Wednesday, April 20^th, 6:00-9:00 in Seton’s MPR/Gym. Learn audition combos; pom, jazz & hip hop.
Thursday, April 21^st, 6:00-9:00 in Seton’s MPR/Gym. Finish learning combos (if necessary) & review required elements.
            * The list of required elements can be found in our handbook and will also be reviewed at open dance classes.
Saturday, April 23^rd, 9:00-finished in Seton’s Gym. Audition in front of Varsity and JV coaching staff.
            * Dancers will have individual meetings with coaches and informed of audition results.

ALL COACHES/JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Dance experience is REQUIRED.

All dancers wishing to tryout must have prior admission to Seton High School and have completed the registration process.

Forms Necessary for Participation: Handbook, Seton Emergency Contact, OHSAA Physical (within last year), Lindsay’s Law, OH Concussion and TriHealth ImPact Testing (Freshmen or potential 1^st year Varsity/JV members only)

We also take into account grades as part of our tryout process so a copy of your most recent report card is also required.

OPEN DANCE CLASSES

There will be open dance classes offered for all girls auditioning for the Varsity & JV teams. These classes will be geared towards their age group and will work on dance technique, improving current skills and teaching new skills. Dance classes are mandatory (unless a school conflict exists) if you are planning to audition for the Varsity or JV teams and were not on Varsity in the 2020/2021 season.
