Youth & Youth Prep Dance Placements (4^th thru 6^th grades 2023/2024 school year)

Monday, April 24^th, 6:00-8:00 in Seton’s MPR. Learn combo & teach/review dance elements.
            * The list of dance elements can be found in our handbook and will also be reviewed at open dance classes.
Wednesday, April 26^th, 6:00-8:00 in Seton’s MPR. Review combo.
Friday, April 28^th, 6:00-8:30 in Seton’s DANCE STUDIO. Perform in front of Seton Dance Staff.

ALL COACHES DECISIONS ARE FINAL. Dance experience is NOT NECESSARY. Every dancer wishing to participate will be placed on either the Youth or Youth Prep team at the end of the placement process.

Forms Necessary for Participation: Handbook, Seton Emergency Contact, Lindsay’s Law, OH Concussion and Letter of Commitment (must be signed by end of evening at mandatory parent meeting on Tuesday, May 16^th at 6:30 in Seton’s Halo Café).

The additional letter of commitment is required indicating your understanding of our rules and expectations at this level. Both the Youth and Youth Prep teams are competition teams and a commitment to the team, including all practices, competitions & performances, is necessary for participation.

NOTE: Since 6^th graders for the 2023/2024 season are eligible for both the Junior High team and Youth/Youth Prep program they have the choice of which team(s) they would like to participate in the tryout/placement process for. If they chose to audition for Junior High and do not make the team as a 6^th grader they are more than welcome to come back and participate in Youth/Youth Prep placements. They are not required to audition for Junior High as a 6^th grader. Please review the below open dance class info. and handbook for explanation of the differences between our Junior High team and Youth/Youth Prep program when making the decision on what is best for your dancer.
