Varsity Dance

The SHS Varsity Dance Team is made up of the best dancer’s from Seton High School. Originally formed in 1976 by the Sisters of Charity to build school spirit for Seton, they performed in parades and pep rallies. Since then they have grown into a competitive dance team, competing locally, regionally and nationally every year.

This season we have 12 fantastic dancers who are eager to carry on the Seton Dance legacy. Lead by seniors, Emma C., Grace G., and Laryssa L., the team is working hard to follow up on an amazing season where at the UDA National Dance Team Championships they placed 3rd in Large Varsity Hip Hop and were named National Champions in Small Varsity Pom! This was the teams third national championship in four years after previously winning the Small Varsity Pom division in 2018 and Medium Varsity Hip Hop in 2020. Staying true to themselves and continuing to push the boundaries in the dance team world is something that the team, coaches and choreographers not only take pride in but believe help to set them apart from the rest and make them one of the best dance teams in the country.

Like everyone else we are praying for the best in continuing to deal with the COVID-19 issues that we have been forced to face over the past year and we are hopeful for as normal a season as possible in 2021/2022. We can’t wait to entertain everyone again. Go Saints!
